The professional development component of this leadership community is a great opportunity for veteran teachers to mentor others and also learn from those with more experience within the curriculum area. Biotechnology connects with Utah's SEEd standards for 7th grade. Learning more about this topic would benefit my students and may also influence other teachers within the state to become better stewards of biotechnology through solving real-world problems with agriculture.
