I find it critical to seek out professional development opportunities. I am a life-long learner and enjoy learning new things to use in my classroom. I am not afraid to try something new with my students. I strive for student engagement and sense-making. I love it when I can give my students exciting opportunities in the classroom. I enjoy meeting new teachers, making connections, and collaborating. I am the only life science teacher in my school, so collaborating and bouncing ideas off of other teachers I meet at various conferences and workshops is a huge bonus.
