My personal philosophy towards teaching science at the secondary level is to allow students to experience science or “do science” as much as possible. I focus on modeling concepts and experiencing science through every avenue possible. I teach at a rural, suburban school in which many students live or work on farms. Being able to make connections between a required science class and the agriculture-based classes the students choose to take will be wonderful!
